Is a massage therapist the same as a Physiotherapist?

It is not. Being a massage therapist is not a regulated profession. Therefore, it is not a health profession, so they can not treat pathologies or do any kind of therapeutic action that can confuse the population.

Physiotherapy is, therefore, a profession, regulated by a university degree and Physiotherapists are required to belong to their Professional College, in order to give all possible guarantees to users of Physiotherapy services.

For your health do not be fooled.
Actions for therapeutic purposes (preventive, curative or palliative) can only be developed by health professionals.
